Breastfeeding
Woodland Heights Medical Center has a certified lactation consultant on staff who is available to assist you and answer your breastfeeding questions. Call (936) 637-8636 or send an email with any questions you might have.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
In addition to the well baby newborn nursery, Woodland Heights Medical Center also has a 15-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) able to care for the tiniest of patients. For more information on the NICU, visit the NICU service page.

Once it is time to have my baby, where do I enter the hospital?
If you are scheduled for an induction or a cesarean section, enter through the main entrance on the Gaslight Blvd. side of the hospital. If you have spontaneous labor, enter through the emergency room on the Loop 287 side of the hospital.
How do I get my baby's birth certificate?
Once you are transferred to a postpartum room after birth, the birth certificate coordinator will assist in arranging your baby's birth certificate. The direct phone number is (936) 637-8711.
