Lufkin Texas — Woodland Heights Medical Center is proud to announce its 2024 Employee of the Year along with Clinical Director of the Year and Non-Clinical Director of the Year, recognizing the exceptional dedication, compassion, and professionalism of staff members who have gone above and beyond in serving our patients, their families, and the community.
This year’s honorees represent the very best of our hospital’s values and mission. Their commitment to clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered care has made a lasting impact across departments.
The 2024 honorees are:
- Employee of the Year: Ana Gonzalez – CT Technologist – Radiology
Ana doesn’t just lend a hand – she anticipates needs before they arise. She brings not only a smile, but a solution-oriented mindset, emotional intelligence and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
- Clinical Director of the Year: Nichole Chala – Therapy Services
Nichole brings a level of dedication that inspires her peers. She goes out of her way for her team to thrive in a fast-paced environment while also teaching her staff on best practices.
- Non-Clinical Director of the Year: Stacey Capp – Risk Management
Stacey approaches each day with integrity, compassion and a deep commitment to excellence. Whether supporting a colleague, comforting a patient or stepping up during a crisis, Stacey leads with heart and purpose.

The award recipients were honored at a special ceremony held during National Hospital Week, where colleagues and leadership gathered to celebrate their achievements.
