DAISY Award Nomination
The DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses honors the super-human work nurses do for patients and families every day. Nurses are honored for their extraordinary acts of compassion at a ceremony that is held each quarter. Patients and their families nominate nurses for the award and are invited to attend the ceremony if the nurse they nominate wins. Please take the time to share your story of what your nurse has meant to you, and your nurse may be selected to receive this meaningful recognition.
DAISY Award honorees personify Woodland Heights Medical Center's patient experience commitment. These nurses consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical knowledge and extraordinary compassionate care. They are recognized as outstanding role models in the nursing community.
You may submit your nomination by completing the submission form below. Please describe in detail a specific situation or story that demonstrates how this nurse made a meaningful difference in your experience.

BEE Award Nomination
The BEE Award was established in 2016 as a companion to the DAISY Award. Just as the daisy relies on the bee, nurses and patients rely on the teamwork by support care team professionals. The BEE Award recognizes team members (non-nurse) for Being Exceptional Everyday (BEE). It is presented to care team partners who embody Woodland Heights Medical Center’s values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Service – those who provide extraordinary care that goes above and beyond their daily duties to make an impact on the lives of patients, visitors and each other.
