Woodland Heights Medical Center Welcomes Experienced Family Medicine Physician Dr. Kay Nelson

Lufkin, TX – Woodland Heights Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of board-certified family medicine physician Kay Nelson, M.D., to Woodland Heights Family Medicine. Dr. Nelson will begin seeing patients on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.
With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Nelson brings extensive knowledge in primary care. She most recently cared for patients at the East Texas Community Health Center locations in both Lufkin and Nacogdoches as well as CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Shreveport.

Dr. Nelson earned her Doctor of Medicine from Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport and completed her residency training with the University of Alabama Family Practice Residency Program in Tuscaloosa.
