Woodland Heights Medical Center Awarded Certification in Heart Failure and Chest Pain from The Joint Commission

Lufkin Texas (July 29, 2014) - Woodland Heights Medical Center has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® for Heart Failure and Chest Pain by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission's national standards for health care quality and safety in disease-specific care. The certification award recognizes Woodland Heights' dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commission's state-of-the- art standards.
Woodland Heights underwent a rigorous on-site review this past June. A Joint Commission expert evaluated the facility for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients and families, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management.
