A local pediatrician will visit during one class to provide essential information such as basic infant care, nutrition, breast and bottle feeding and newborn growth and development.

And, one class includes a tour of the labor and delivery area and a presentation by anesthesia professionals discussing the options available to the expectant mother during childbirth.

Participants also learn infant CPR and basic life support.  This class is recommended in the sixth or seventh month of pregnancy.
