Woodland Heights Medical Center wants our community to be healthy! That is why we offer numerous wellness classes, presentations, and health fairs to the community. If you would like to learn more about Woodland Heights Medical Center’s Wellness program, contact 936-637-8688.

Community Education

Woodland Heights Medical Center is involved in numerous health fairs throughout the East Texas area each year. The hospital’s largest health fair is held during the month of February in celebration of American Heart Month. This free health fair is held at the Lufkin Mall and offers a variety of clinical tests and screenings to the public, including cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index, and more. There are also many local healthcare vendors on hand to answer questions and educate the public on the extensive services available to East Texans so close to home. Everyone should care for their heart every month, but February provides an occasion for emphasis on cardiac care.

Woodland Heights Medical Center also participates in other fairs and expositions in the area, including the Senior Expo, the Women's Expo, and numerous private industry events.

Additionally, Woodland Heights offers two programs that provide wellness and education classes to women and senior adults. The Healthy Woman program is a free community resource designed to educate and empower women so they are able to make the best decisions for themselves and their families. More than ever, women are making the day-to-day decisions for their families, and we are proud to offer a resource to make those responsibilities easier and more manageable.

The anniversary of this program falls every April in conjunction with the hospital's annual Women in Red luncheon, an event that focuses on women and heart disease. For more information on this program, please call 936-637-8687.

Senior Circle is a national, nonprofit organization committed to enriching the lives of adults age 50 and over. When you join Senior Circle for just $15.00, your annual membership offers a generous selection of valuable discounts, activities and events, exercise and wellness classes, national publication subscription, in-hospital privileges, and much more. For more information on this program, please call 936-637-8687.
